A fast-growing EU digital health AI scale-up was preparing to enter the US market but faced critical hurdles. The team was small, with expertise rooted in medicine and technology but little knowledge of the US investor landscape. Investor expectations were intimidating, and without robust research or data, the company struggled to build credibility.

Their budget ruled out formal market research, yet opportunities required them to move at lightning speed. Their investor presentations were overly technical, mixing philanthropic ambitions, commercial offerings, and new capabilities into a confusing narrative. Without a creative team to elevate their brand, redesign their app, or craft a professional pitch deck, they risked missing their chance to break through in the US.

The approach

Sugra&Co. partnered closely with the founders to bring clarity and confidence to their expansion, and did it in just three weeks. We began by interviewing both the founders and their customers to sharpen our understanding of their market and value. To complement this, we engaged with a key existing investor to ensure our strategy addressed the priorities of new investors as well.

Given the lack of budget for formal market research, we conducted extensive desk research to ground the narrative in data. We then designed and facilitated a tailored design-thinking workshop with stakeholders and even select customers to validate product-market fit and sharpen the customer value story.

To elevate the customer experience, we conducted an experience audit of their digital health app and threaded the value propositions into its features and UX. Working hand-in-hand with their engineering team, we ensured every detail was implemented while sparking new ideas to further improve the product.

Finally, we reimagined their investor materials, crafting a professional, investor-ready deck that connected the dots across customer value, market opportunity, go-to-market strategy, and long-term vision. The deck also showcased first-class product visuals that elevated their story.
